TUSCUMBIA-The Alabama Music Hall Of Fame has prenty to do in the next couple of weeks leading up to the Holidays.
Brown Bag Lunch with Live Music by Dan Penny, Bart Black & Larry Crowell
Tuesday, November 17 from 11 AM until 1 PM
Each third Tuesday during the year, the Alabama Music Hall of Fame will host a new and entertaining event titled “Third Tuesday at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.” Each event will feature LIVE musicians during the “Brown Bag” hours of 11am-1pm.
“The LIVE musicians Penn, Black and Crowell will bring their own special touch of musical accompaniment and local lore to the session.
Sunday, November 22 from 2 PM until 4 PM
Bobby Denton, an icon of Muscle Shoals music and Inductee of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, will sign copies of his book, “Love Lifted Me” 2-4 p.m. Sunday, November 22 in the lobby of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia.
The book chronicles how Denton, an accomplished pop singer and politician, overcame hardships through faith. He will perform several of his favorite songs at the book signing.
Come get an autographed copy of Bobby Denton’s inspirational autobiography Love Lifted Me: A Story of Life, Love and Tragedy and meet the author.
Tuesday, November 24 beginning at 7 PM
State Representative Mike Ball will be at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame to share the story of his journey through life with his Daddy’s Gibson guitar.
This inspirational story takes him through a difficult childhood that included foster homes, a children’s shelter, instability, homelessness and deliverance.
His daddy’s guitar was his companion as he served as a Marine, a State Trooper, and an Agent with the Alabama Bureau of Investigation. He has served as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives since 2002. While in Montgomery, he occasionally plays music with his colleagues, in a band called, “The House Band.”
