Freddie H. Morris – Obituary

Freddie H. Morris, 79, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, to Mitchell Morris and Eva Stanphill Morris. He worked at Reynolds Metal for more than 20 years and attended Calvary Baptist Church, Belmont, Mississippi. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Mississippi, with Brother Jerry Ginn officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery, Dennis, Mississippi. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are three sisters, Dorothy Grimes, Golden, Mississippi, Wilma Renfroe, Red Bay, Alabama, and Annie Ledbetter (Wayne), Muscle Shoals, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jolene Bartkavich.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Ledbetter, Gregory Ledbetter, Blake Ledbetter, Blair Ledbetter, Chandler Higginbottom and Jeremy Higginbottom. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Ledbetter and Jerry Morris.
Visitation will be today, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi.
