Peggy Baldwin, age 81, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2015. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Larry Kilpatrick will officiate. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park.
Mrs. Baldwin was born on Feb. 23, 1934, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Jessie N. and Katie Mae Broughton Street. She grew up in Tuscumbia under the Christian guidance of her parents, and became a Christian at an early age. Mrs. Baldwin was a 1952 graduate of Mars Hill Bible School, as she started there the day the school first opened and was a member of the inaugural graduating class. Upon her graduation, Mrs. Baldwin attended Larimore Business College in Florence.
On Aug. 16, 1957, Peggy married Jack Baldwin, and they enjoyed over 58 years together. She was a homemaker and a mom. Mrs. Baldwin was a member of the Cox Boulevard Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Baldwin; children, Michael Allen Baldwin, Felicia Dawn Baldwin, and Patrick David Baldwin; grandchildren, Jesse, Brandi, and Matthew; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Kierstin, Kloyee, and Essence; sister, Pattie Crittenden; niece, Cheryl; and nephews, Stan, Robbie, and George.
