Jerry E. Wolfe – Obituary

JerryJerry E. Wolfe, born April 24,1931, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 29, 2015.
With the exception of four years of U.S. Naval service, he lived in Decatur from early childhood until the 1960s. In July of 1958, he married Littia McDougal from Spring Valley. After a short stay in Birmingham, Jerry and Littia relocated to Chicago, where they worked for 33 years as church planters. During that time Jerry supported the family ministry as a machinist at the gum manufacturer, Wm. Wrigley Junior & Company. After retiring to Florida, where he and Littia lived for 12 years, they returned to his hometown of Decatur, where they’ve resided for the past three years. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Earline Wolfe, and his only sibling, Cyrus Wolfe.
He is survived by his wife, Littia; sons, Timothy, of Chicago, Illinois, and Steven, wife, Renee Ridings Wolfe, and their two sons, Zachary and Alex, of Tampa, Florida.
A Celebration of Life will be Monday, November 2, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Chesser, the Rev. Jess White and the Rev. George Sawyer officiating. A time of visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Arthritis Research Foundation, curearthritis.org.
Families and friends will be pallbearers.
