James “Sonny” Etheridge, 81, died Thursday, October 29, 2015. Mr. Etheridge is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as camping, NASCAR and Auburn football.
Mr. Etheridge is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie Etheridge; sons, Kenny (Tina) Etheridge and Anthony (Penny) Etheridge; grandchildren, Nikki Mims, Kristi Etheridge and Kody Etheridge; three great-grandchildren, Sawyer Mims, Kolt Etheridge and Ava Mims; three sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, November 1, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Brother Rickey Hughes officiating. A gathering of friends will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kody Etheridge, Jerry Ingle, Ricky Oliver, Robert Mims, Cory Culver and Ricky Carwile.
