Funeral service for Donald D. “Buck” Turney, 85, will be Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Holmes and Bro. Jessie Estes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Turney died on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born November 25, 1929, in Morgan County to Guy Walker Turney and Florence Savannah Baker Turney. He was a maintenance worker for the Parks and Recreation Department in the City of Hartselle prior to his retirement. Mr. Turney was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Findley Turney, his parents and three brothers: James, Thurman and Wilks Turney.
