Grace Virginia Phillips, 73, of Florence, passed away October 23, 2015 after an extended illness. She was a former member of Chisholm Heights Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 12:30 – 2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Crossroads Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Walker Phillips; father of her children; son, Gregory Allen Phillips; brothers, Clifford, Roy, Benton, and Richard Peden; sisters, Hilda Chaney (Pat), Judy Lindsey (Dimples); and parents, John and Clara Peden.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Phillips; brother, Billy Peden (Jewell); brother-in-law, Rivers Lindsey; sister, Mary Mitchell; grandchildren, Gina Buttrum, Ashley Phillips, and Jeremy Allen Phillips; great-grandchildren, McKayla, Isabella, Cameron, and Braylen Phillips, and Meredith Buttrum.
Pallbearers will include: Kevin Buttrum, Ronnie Jackson, Gary Peden, Randy Jackson, Bradley Peden, and David Peden.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Mann, Dr. Holden, Dr. Rinke, and all her caregivers.
