Funeral Services for Ocie Thompson, age 82 of Cullman, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, with Bro. Steve Rodgers officiating.

Ocie was born on December 31, 1932 in Cullman, and passed away at home on Monday, October 26, 2015. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1952, served in the U.S. Army and retired with 21 years of service at Lanson Industry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Odus & Cassie Tackett Thompson and one son, Steven Paul Thompson.
Survivors include his Wife of 58 years – Hazel Thompson; 2 – Sons – Buddy Thompson & Andrew Thompson; 2 – Grandchildren – Tanya Monroe & Dustin (Amanda) Thompson; 4 – Great-Grandchildren – Logan Monroe, Riley Monroe, Ethan Thompson & Brooklyn Thompson; Sister – Faye (Bill) Vincent; Brother-in-Law – Luther (Gail) Johnson; and a Host of Nieces & Nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
