Funeral service for Doug Campbell , age 72 , of Decatur will be Monday, October 26, 2015, 12:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mickey Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Campbell who died Thursday, October 22 , 2015, at Huntsville Hospital was born, July 25, 1943, in Cullman Co., to John Clyde Campbell and Laura Stover Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Cecil Campbell.
He is survived by his wife Nancie S. Campbell of 52 years of Decatur, daughter Gina Doran (Woody) of Decatur, grandson Trent Doran (Ali) of Priceville, great-grandson Cole Doran of Priceville, three sisters, Lucille Copeland of Falkville, Shirley Mann of Locust Fork, and Debby Balthrop of Hartselle.
Mr. Campbell retired from Tony Moore Buick GMC after 35 years. He was an expert automotive mechanic. He was an outstanding husband, father, and grandfather.
