Gloria Jean Brown Webb passed away on Oct. 16, 2015 at the home of her son, Mark Webb, in Hamilton Alabama. The visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Akins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Officiating will be Brother Keith Prince and John Webb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Web, son, Roger Webb, and parents, Johnny and Rebecca Brown.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Webb and John Webb, and wife, Dorah; adopted son, Benny Pimpkins; grandchildren, Rebekah Webb, Regina Hill, and Patrick and Jeremy Quillen, and wife Necole, and Bradley Quillen; brothers Jimmy Brown, and wife, Patsy, and Johnny Brown and wife, Martha; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She had a friend and caregiver, Benny Pipkins, of Hamilton, and a special cousin, Genelle Jackson. Special thanks to Dr. Kevin Kelly and staff.
Pallbearers are James Elliott, Chris Elliott, Marty Hargett Jr., and Thomas Woods, Patrick Hill, and Jeremy Quillen.
