Dorothy Dell McDonald, 79, of Florence, passed away October 19, 2015 at Glenwood Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 11 – 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Henry Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jeffery McDonald; parents, Enlow Farris and Mary Ruth Gregory; and sister, Emma Mize.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Steven McDonald of Florence; brothers, Bill Farris of Florence, Jimmy Farris of Kingwood, Texas; sister, Wanda Mullins of Florence; grandchild, Cheyanne McDonald of Florence; and great-grandchild, Zachary Skye James.
Active pallbearers will include: Jamie Davis, Steve Canaday, Lloyd Davis, Jimmy Farris, Jeremy McDonald, and Johnny McDonald.
John White, Gerald Mullins, and Bradley Canaday will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
