Hilda Montgomery Terry – Obituary

HildaHilda Montgomery Terry, 76, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015. She was born on November 3, 1938, in Lawrence County to E.D. and Elizabeth Montgomery. She was a lifelong resident of Moulton and enjoyed a rich professional career as a radio personality and as an owner of several businesses. She was a member of Moulton Baptist Church. Mama Hilda’s many interests included collecting and listening to music and she was known throughout the area as an avid flower gardener.
Visitation is Tuesday, October 20, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Moulton Baptist Church and services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, 2 p.m. at the church with Bro. Jesse Reeder officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.
Hilda was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Montgomery and sister, Helen Jeffers. She is survived by her sister, Wilda Ann Frost; and brother, Larry Montgomery. Other survivors include her children Vicki Morese (David Norwood), Clay Jackson (Ann), Sheree Durham (Greg) and Cheryl Bradford (Bryan); eleven grandchildren, Dale Neely, Chris Brooks, Eric Jackson, Jerrod Bradford, Amanda Young, Daniella Alexander, Jade Couch Sutton, Edward Norwood, Colt Browder, Keaton Browder, and Bryar Bradford, as well as twenty great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eric Jackson, Keaton Browder, Bryar Bradford, Tyler Neely, Matt Young, and Connie Ray Livingston. Honorary pallbearers are Cody Neely and A.J. Alexander.
In lieu of flowers, her request was for any donations be made to the Moulton Baptist Church Land Fund, PO Box 430, Moulton AL 35650.
