Mary Blair Wheeler, 93, of Rogersville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, at her residence. She was a 1940 graduate of Piedmont High School where she was the very first majorette. She was a member of Rogersville United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, from 1–3 p.m. at Rogersville United Methodist Church. Funeral service will follow immediately at the church. A graveside service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Highland Cemetery, Piedmont, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Burt, Tommy Wood, Roy Edwards, Kevin Miller, Paul Logan and Kinian Logan.
Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Wheeler Jr., sister, Frances Jane Elliott, brother, Jack Fagan Blair. She is survived by her children, Richard (Nancy) Wheeler and Susan (Rick) Burt; grandchildren, Jennifer (Phillip) Dean, Jonathan Burt, Kathryn (Travis) Stephens and Thomas Wheeler; great-grandchildren, Kenslee Davis and Carter Dean; sisters, Betty Ruth (Roy) Edwards and Joyce Ann (Bill) Horne.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rogersville Public Library or to RUMC Fish and Loaves.
