Mauro L. Jackson, age 50, of Decatur, died Thursday October 15, 2015. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ridout’s Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Israel Milligan officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson was born June 14, 1965, in Morgan County to John Sykes and Mary Butler. He was a loving husband, and caring and devoted father and grandfather, who enjoyed family, friends, and fellowship. Mr. Jackson worked for R and L Carrier of Decatur.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Jackson; his parents; three sons, Joshua Harris, James Jones, and Tyler Hicks; two daughters, Zamera Cooper and Bryonna Jackson Johnston and her husband, Jordan; four brothers, Bobby Jackson, Zolton Jackson, Alexis Jackson, and Tarius Sykes; one sister, Vickie Matthews; and eleven grandchildren.
