Gregory Lee Williamson – Obituary

Gregory Lee Williamson, 52, passed Sept. 22, after a short battle with cancer. He worked with the U.S. Postal Service for 29 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, hunting, golf and passing time on Joe Wheeler refuge.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil “Dock” Williamson; his mother, Francis Sims Williamson; and his sister, Regina Lynn Williamson.
He leaves behind his wife, Dana Lee Williamson; his son, Patrick R. Williamson, and daughter, Emily R. Williamson, of East Limestone; his brother, Phillip Jerome Williamson (Sara), of Florence; half brother, Mike Williamson (Missy), of Yacolt, Washington; half sister, Linda Heinrich (Greg), of Lake Oswego, Oregon; the in-laws who loved him like he was their own, Sue and O.D. Davis and Allen and Norma Lee; brother and sisters-in-law, Sonya and Lon Arnold and Robert and Roxanne Lee; many nieces and nephews he thought of and loved as his own; and his many friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held today from 5-8 p.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home, Madison, Alabama. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, because his wife can’t keep a plant alive (his words), please donate to Clearview Cancer Institute or Heart Lite Hospice.
