MUSCLE SHOALS-Northwest-Shoals Community College’s (NW-SCC) Foundation will feature keynote speaker and University of Alabama football practice official, Ed Conyers, at their 23rd Annual Pathfinder’s Dinner Monday, October 19, 2015, at the Shoals Marriott Conference Center in Florence, Ala.
Conyers, a native of Montgomery and a long-time Tuscaloosa resident, has since the early 1960s served as a referee/official at University of Alabama football practices. Conyers, a popular after-dinner speaker to alumni groups, civic organizations and company gatherings is known for his humorous stories, namely involving University of Alabama football.
Conyers is retired from the University of Alabama. He served as assistant to the Dean for the College of Continuing Studies.
The semi-formal evening, sponsored by Helen Keller Hospital, will consist of a reception at 6:00 p.m., dinner beginning at 7:00 p.m. and entertainment at 8:00 p.m. Contributions are federal income tax deductible and all proceeds will go to the NW-SCC
Foundation Scholarship Fund.
