Gary Huggins, 59, passed away Sept. 20, 2015, after an extended illness while at Vanderbilt Medical Center. A memorial service with friends and family will be held at Colbert Memorial Chapel today, 11 a.m. to noon with Brother Lonell Plyler officiating.
Gary was a member of Underwood Heights Church of Christ in Petersville. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Trooper, and his grandparents, Looney and Sybil Huggins and Walter and Myrtle Fuller.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Glenda; daughter, Amy (Jason); and son, Michael (Stacy), grandchildren, Tessa, Jenna and Tobey; parents, Dwain and Anna Huggins; brothers, Gene and Lee; and sister, Denise. He is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.
Gary loved to spend time fishing for bass on Wilson Lake and rooting for the Crimson Tide.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
