Betty Clinard McCafferty, 80, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at her residence. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and Eastern Star, Rogersville Chapter. She was a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, but most importantly a pastor’s wife for 38 years which was her calling in life.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow immediately at the church with Bill Barlow and Terry Lamar officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray McCafferty, Ricky Davis, Sam Davis, Clint Davis, Justin McCafferty, Jason Milam, Leanna Davis, and Kayla Milam.
Mrs. McCafferty was preceded in death by her parents, Hestel and Dolly Clinard, and husband, Robert L. McCafferty.
She is survived by her children, Rayburn (Carol) McCafferty and Belinda (Ricky) Davis; grandchildren, Kayla (Jason) Milam, Justin McCafferty, Sam (Amanda) Davis, Clint (Ashli) Davis, and Leanna Davis; great-grandchildren, Everlee and Embry, Ezra, Tristen, Aly, Belle, Jax, Eli, Ava and Ella; siblings, Letha Mae Bailey, Katherine Stutts, Thomas (Shirley) Clinard, Loren (Pat) Clinard, Mickey (Thomas) Lovell, Don Clinard, and Glenda (Ray) White; sisters-in-law, Sarah (Eddie) Eggler and Jeanette (James) Sanders; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
