Joe Edd Swinney,Sr. of Pulaski passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia Tennessee. He was born in Pulaski on January 1, 1948 and was 67 years old.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was retired from American Magotteaux and TVR in Pulaski. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, a member of American Legion Post 60, a member of the Pulaski Lions Club for 18 years and a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, was past president and Lion of The Decade and was active in the Civil Defense.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 16th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, September 17th at 11:00am in the Chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery with full military honors.
Memorial donations are suggested to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harold and Faye Hollond Johnson, sister, Shirley Jean Swinney and grandparents, R.A. Swinney and wife Velma.

Son, Joe Swinney, Jr. and fiancé, Kim Pierce of Pulaski
Daughter, Lisa White and husband Bubba of Pulaski
Daughter, Julie Swinney Hargrove and husband Bobby of Goodspring, Tn.
Grandchildren, Dylan Hargrove and Will Hargrove, Joe Ed Swinnery III, Mandi Stafford and Hunter Stafford.

Brother, Kenneth “Baldy” Swinney and wife Marjorie of Pulaski
Brother, Steven Swinney and wife Pat of Lawrenceburg
Cousin, Daryl Swinney and wife Betty Jo of Lewisburg
