Delta State On Lockdown One Dead…Shooter At Large

CLEVELAND, MS-Delta State University has been on lockdown since around (9:15 a.m. this morning, Monday, September 14.  A Gunman was seen near Jobe Hall, which is located near the entrance to the campus  early this morning.  It has been confirmed by authorities that a professor was killed.

The police confirm that the shooter is still at large and authorities are searching the campus and surrounding area.  The campus is still on lockdown.

According to authorities all secondary schools in the Cleveland School district are also on lockdown.  All schools and children are reported to be safe.

Delta State is located in Cleveland, Mississippi two hours north of Jackson, Mississippi.
