MORGAN COUNTY-Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin gives a statement on the conviction of a Morgan County man on charges of Sexual Abuse of a Child Less Than 12 Years of age:

“A Morgan County man was convicted today of one count of Sexual Abuse of a Child Less Than 12 Years of age, a Class B felony and one count of Sodomy in the 1st Degree, a Class A felony. Both charges stemmed from acts of sexual abuse perpetrated on a three year old victim in August of 2011.
Investigators of the Sheriff’s Special Victim’s Unit (SVU) conducted an extensive investigation which led to the indictment and arrest of Chase Rolland Long, 25, of NW Maddox Road, Hartselle. Long was returned to the Morgan County Jail pending sentencing, which is scheduled for October 14th, 2015.”
