William Howard Wales, Jr., 80 of Decatur, Alabama died on Monday, August 17, 2015, at his home in Decatur.
Born Friday, August 9, 1935 in Ardmore, Alabama, he was the son of the late William Howard Wales and the late Mary VirgieTillery Wales. He loved to sing and had sung with The Harmony Boys for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Brent Wales, and a step-daughter: Vickie Phillips.
Surviving are his wife: Shirley Wales of Decatur, AL, daughter, Monica (Dennis) Clark of Athens, AL, step-daughters: Susan (Jim) Prince of Decatur, and Carol (Roger) Brakefield of Warrior, AL, brother, Thomas Clay (Betty) Wales of Athens, AL, sister, Lorene Smith of Priceville, AL, grandchildren: Layla Beverly, Alex Amiri, Ben Wales, Riley Harris, and Gage Clark and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama. There will be visitation saturday from 1:00 P.M. until funeral time.
