Robert O’Neal Hallmark – Obituary

hallmarkRobert O’Neal Hallmark, age 75, passed away Aug. 22, 2015 after an extended illness. He was born in Leighton, Alabama. After moving to New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1966, where he owned and operated Pawpaw Hallmark’s Concrete Construction Company for 40 years, and was a member of the Moose Lodge, he moved back to Alabama in 2006 where he lived until his death. He was also an avid Bluegrass fan. His visitation will be on Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 7-9 p.m., at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence, Alabama. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Verbin Vandiver officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery in Central. He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Leona Sewell Hallmark, daughter, Josephine (Jodie) Hallmark, sister, Annie Rogers, three brothers, Billy, Alton, and Dale Hallmark, great-grandson, Dacoda O’Neal Heigle. He is survived by his wife, of 52 years, Edith Castle Hallmark; daughters, Madeline Judy Kearns (Kurt), Reba Andonna Heigle (Tim); grandsons, Robert Kearns (Juana), Timothy Heigle (Beth), Lauren Lu Lu Kearns, Tristan Fuzzy Heigle, Kaiden Kato Heigle, and Krystal Edwards. Pallbearers will be Robert Kearns, Tim Heigle, Manuel Hallmark, Casey Liles, Dennie and Mickey Price. Special thanks to Tonya White and staff of Alacare, and Dr. Lynn Ridgeway.
