Martha Ann Wallace Goodwin, 72 of Lacey’s Spring, the Union Hill Community of Morgan County died Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Crestwood Medical Center, Huntsville.
Mrs. Goodwin was born December 10, 1942 in Talladega, Alabama, the daughter of Joseph H. and Daisy Mae Runge Wallace. She was a Homemaker, married 54 years to Donald D. Goodwin. She was a member of the Morgan City Church of God.
She is survived by her husband: Donald Goodwin; three daughters and sons-in-law: Angela Kaye and Wayne Byrd, Reba L and Barry McAnally and Rita S. and Rick Wood; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, numerous adopted grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Mack and Elaine Wallace and Danny and Vetron Wallace; a sister and brother-in-law: Irona and Comer Adamson, several nieces, nephews, cousins, her church family and many dear friends and neighbors; preceded in death by a son: Harold D. Goodwin, her parents: Joseph and Daisy Wallace and two sisters: Betty J. Thomas and Jo Goodwin.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Morgan City Church of God, Brother Roland Cornwell, officiating. Burial will be in Rescue Cemetery, Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City. She will also Lie-In-State at the Church on the day of the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
