Charles Ernest Moody, 87, of Florence, passed away August 10, 2015 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home. He was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church, Shriners, Masonic Lodge F & AM Lodge #14; the American Legion Post #11 of Florence, and a U.S. Army veteran.
Visitation will be Friday, August 14, 2015 from 10 – 12 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the service beginning at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. William Brewer. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with masonic rites and military honors accorded at graveside.
Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his wife, Era Eugenia Moody; daughter, Felicia Burch; grandson, David O. Black; parents, Ernest and Floy Moody; sisters, Mattie and Molly Moody; brother, Thomas Moody.
He is survived by his sons, Ron Moody (Claudia), Dennis Moody (Jane); daughter, Zelda Poss (Joe); son-in-law, Ralph Burch; grandchildren, Joey and Jamy Poss, Cara Dawson, Laura Jane Elkins, Westleigh Moody, Rachel Black; ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joe Poss, Joey Poss, Jamy Poss, Braydon Poss, Westleigh Moody, and Trent Dawson.
