Richard Paul Geahr, Sr., born March 6, 1947 in Wilmington, DE, died August 6, 2015 in Huntsville, AL. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Shirley White Geahr, brother, George (Stephanie), and sister, Janice Hodges Kennard (Joe).

Richard and Shirley raised a family and built a life in Huntsville. They are cherished by their children and their spouses, Sandra Geahr Justice (Tom), Richard Paul Geahr, Jr. (Tisha), Tracy Elizabeth Geahr, Ronald White (Tabatha), Rodney White (Rita), and grandchildren, Mary Claire, Taylor, Zac, Blake, Madison, Billy, Tracy Rose, Tommy, and Nikki, and greatgranddaughter, Kyleigh.

Richard was deeply loved by his family and a host of friends. Richard enjoyed card games with friends, who appreciated his positive attitude and cheerful disposition.

A man of traditional moral character, Richard was respected as a man of integrity. Like the cowboy heroes of the old westerns whom he loved, Richard will be remembered for his sense of personal honesty, honorable, and respectful behavior, and devotion to Shirley, the love of his life.

A receiving of friends will be at Berryhill Funeral Home from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 9th with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel. David Mills will be officiating.
