Funeral services for Ms. Eula Mae “Marene” Pirtle, age 86, are scheduled for 1 PM, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery. Ms. Pirtle passed away Sunday at her home in Decaturville. She was born April 2, 1929 in Henderson County to the late Ed and Eura Holmes Weatherford. She retired after 25 years with Decaturville Sportswear. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Emmett Lee Maness and Hal Pirtle; one son, Emmett Maness; one brother, Elco Weatherford; and two sisters, Verna Mae Austin and Ruth Ann Woods. Survivors include her three sons, Harold Wayne Pirtle, Jimmy Harold Pirtle, and Billy Joe Pirtle; four daughters, Margie Mae Kelley, Patsy Lee Maness, Cathy Marie Duke, and Nancy Karen Lindsey; two brothers, Herman and Willie Weatherford; two sisters, Irene Martin and Helen Stegall; eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
