Ima Jean Price Wright was born July 12, 1929, in Lutts, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James William and Earle Hunt Price. She died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at her home at the age of 86 years and 14 days. Mrs. Wright was of the Baptist faith and was a retired seamstress at Hibbett Sporting Goods.
Survivors are sons, Jeff and James Wright, both of Florence, Alabama; daughters, Joyce Rea and Sandra Gooch, both of Florence, Alabama, and Martha Sherrod, of Russelville, Alabama; grandchildren, Amanda Haddock, Shannon Gilchrist, Misty Smith, Josh Gooch, Jacob Gooch, Erica Moore, Rosalyn Clark, Roger Treadway and Joey Wright; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Stricklin and Dorothy Robbins, both of Collinwood, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Paul Wright; an unnamed infant son; a grandson, Jeremy Wade Wright; brothers, J. D. and Haskell Price; and sisters, Mollie Horton, Ollie Newborn, Louise Cooper and Willodean Cooper.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Oneal Price officiating. Burial will follow in Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Gilchrist, Josh Gooch, Jacob Gooch, Joey Wright, Roger Treadway and Paul Pounders. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Gooch and Brian Smith.
Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
