Jimmy Long, age 67, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015. His family will receive friends today, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Richard Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow in Isbell Chapel Cemetery.
Jimmy was a native of Russellville but lived in Tuscumbia most of his life. He loved fishing and enjoyed building outdoor furniture.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Decie Garrett Long, his brother, Arlie Long, and sisters, Margie and Mildred.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Ruby Long; daughters, Celina Hamm and Tina Bullington (Jeff); brothers, Jack and Paul; sister; Deanie Holt; brother-in-law, Steve and wife, Sandy, Thomas; grandchildren, Brittney, Chase, and Brandon; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Josh Bradford, Tim Bradford, Chad Patton, Zack Henson, David Hamm, Arlie Sanderson, James Caldwell, and Don Isbell.
Jimmy’s family expresses special thanks to Beverly Davis and the second floor nurses at Helen Keller Hospital.
