Helen Hester Lawler, 84, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at her residence.
Mrs. Lawler was a native of Franklin County, Alabama, who lived in Rockford, Illinois, for 20 years before returning to Russellville. She was retired from Nylint, Inc. She was a member of Spruce Pine Methodist Church but attended Southside Baptist Church for the last 10 years.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens. Officiating will be Daniel Welborn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from noon until service time.
Survivors include daughter, Belinda Baird and husband, Ken, Russellville; sister, Hazel J. Hester, Russellville; special nephew, Ray Hester, Rogersville; granddaughter, Melissa Hogeland Calhoun and husband, Joseph; great-granddaughter, Karleigh Grace Calhoun; two almost grandchildren, Madison Murray and Grayson Murray; stepgrandsons, Torey Baird and Trevor Baird.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Lawler, parents, Edward and Ester Thompson Hester, brothers, Clinton Hester, Fred Hester, Clarence Hester, Clifton Hester and Charles Hester, sisters, Bertie Lee Johnson, Bernice Lawler and Opal Allen.
Pallbearers will be Derek Allen, Jeff Allen, Andrew Welborn, Michael Murray, Grayson Murray and David Murray.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all of her buddies at Jack’s.
Pinkard Funeral Home will be directing.
