Ramona Ann Smith Steadman passed away peacefully at Limestone Health Facility on Saturday Jul4, 2015 at the age of 78 years.
Her family and friends will ever remember Ramona as a loving mother, and wife of over 54 years. Ramona was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas and spent her childhood in Truman, Arkansas. Her parents preceded her in death.
Ramona is survived by her husband, John; her son John of Elkmont, AL; her sister, Nancy Dorton of Truman, AR; her brother, Edward Smith of Gigg Harbor, WA; and her grandchildren, Cassie, Callie, and Dalton Steadman.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at 10 am in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville with burial to follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday July 6, 2015 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice, Visiting Angels, Limestone Lodge, and the Limestone Health Facility for her care during these last years of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, St Jude Children’s Hospital, or to your favorite charity.
