Update On July 4th Drowning In Athens

ATHENS-An updated statement from Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnsnon the drowning from Saturday, July 4th:

“Here is the latest information on the drowning accident yesterday in Athens. Buddy Wayne Johnson 37 of Trinity passed away at Athens Limestone Hospital. Calindo Cassavette Fletcher Jr. 20 of Huntsville was treated at Athens Limestone Hospital before being transferred to Huntsville Hospital. I have heard several social media reports Johnson was transferred to Vanderbilt Hospital this morning however I do not have conformation on that information.”
