Christine Jennings Burns, 75, passed away June 23, 2015, at Glenwood Healthcare Center. She was a member of Shoals Home Builder’s Association and retired from the City of Florence Building Department.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 27, 2015, from 10 – 11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside memorial service will follow in Greenview Memorial Park at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Chris Underwood officiating.
Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie Burns Franks, and parents, Gerald and Florence Jennings.
She is survived by her sister, Marion Howard, of London England; grandchildren, Kace and Allison Franks, both of Florence; niece, Julie Hurst, of New Zealand; nephew, Martin Howard, of London England; and special friend, Tom Harper.
Honorary pallbearers are Matt Blackburn and Tom Harper.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Glenwood Healthcare Center for all their care given.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
