Vasie Marie Posey, age 92, of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015.
Her family will receive friends Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Friday. 2 p.m. at Harmony Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Wayne Wilson officiating. She will lie-in-state at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Posey was a Colbert County native and a member of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and a devoted wife of the late Durwood Posey. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
She is survived by her son; Steven Posey and wife, Maudie of Lynnville, TN, daughter; Denise Posey McCaig of Tuscumbia, grandchildren: Cody Posey, Lindsey Hudson, April Treiber, Seth McCaig and Joshua McCaig.
Pallbearers are; Seth McCaig, Joshua McCaig, Cody Posey, Leland Wood, Clay Wood and Mike Pool.
