Mrs. Audrey A. Ward of Decatur passed away on June 7, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital at the age of 81. She was born in Cullman on May 9, 1934, to Aubrey James and Agatha Christina Murphy Persall. She is preceded in death by her husband, U.H. “Hyman” Ward.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Jones Chapel Church of Christ at 4 p.m. with Bro. Nikki Pressnell officiating. Mrs. Ward will lie in repose at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Chances Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home in Cullman.
Survivors are daughters, Loretta (Phil) Clark of Decatur, Inga (Pat) Sherrill of Hanceville; sons, Tom Ward of Niceville, FL, Aubrey (Debbie) Ward of Yorba Linda, CA; sisters, Sybil Williams of Jones Chapel, Esther (Richard) Clapp of Jones Chapel; brothers, Jim (Carolyn) Persall of Santa Clara, CA, Carl (Jean) Persall of Athens, David Persall of Greenville, SC; five grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
