idaIda Mae Morgan McBride, 79, of Huntsville passed away June 05, 2015. Mrs. McBride was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama on June 6,1935. While living in Huntsville, she met and married her wonderful husband, Bruce L. Morgan, a soldier stationed at Redstone Arsenal. Her life with Bruce, a career Army man, was filled with multiple moves around the world as part of this military career. She lived in Germany for a couple of tours and visited many wonderful European sites and other places in the United States, like Ft. Sill. OK and Ft. Bliss. TX. Once Bruce retired from the Army, Ida made her home back in Huntsville and together raised her two daughters, Kathy and Vicki. While living in Huntsville, Ida worked for the Huntsville City Schools and also as a cosmetologist. After Bruce’s death in 1992, she eventually met and married another wonderful man. Mr. Hoyt McBride. Mr. McBride also preceded Ida in death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lizzie Sharp of Huntsville, Alabama and daughter, Kathy D. Hunt of Huntsville. A l a b a m a ; brothers Grady Sharp. D.L. Sharp, Carl Sharp, Otis Sharp and Orville Sharp, and sisters Etoyle Sharp and Lela Harris. She is survived by her daughter Vicki L. Dobbs and husband Bill of Huntsville; son-in-law Rex Hunt; grandchildren Allison Lewis, Lauren Dobbs, Ryan Hunt and Nicole Taylor; great-grandchildren Bailey, Bryson and Ben Lewis and Braxton and Graham Hunt and Reid Taylor; sisters: Ruth Ballard and husband Carl; Ann Parker and husband Jimmy; and sister-in-law: Sarah (Ted) Sharp, Hoyt McBride’s family and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins great-nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a 2:00 p.m. Chapel service with Pastor John Dees officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery with Berryhill Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
