William Eugene “Bill” Fullerton of Petersburg died Saturday May 30, 2015 at the age of 93. Mr. Bill, a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and neighbor was a lifelong member of the Bledsoe “PoGrab” Church of Christ. Preceded in death in April 2012 by his wife of 64 years, Ada Mae Sorrells Fullerton, he was a farmer, dairyman, retired Lincoln County School bus driver, and a retired rural postal carrier. He and Ada Mae owned and operated Fulleton’s Grocery at PoGrab for many years. A veteran of World War II, he served as a member of the Army Air Corp in the European Theater.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Daisy Mae Holt Fullerton, and brothers John Fullerton and Larry Fullerton all of Petersburg.
He is survived by his children, daughter Donna (Dan) Stone of Tullahoma, sons, Robert Eugene “Bobby” (Teresa) Fullerton and William David (Tammy) Fullerton of Petersburg, sister Judy Bean of Petersburg, brothers Robert Fullerton of Shelbyville and Charles (Emily) Fullerton of Lewisburg, sisters-in-law Evelyn Fullerton of Petersburg and Wista Fullerton of Lewisburg. He leaves nine grandchildren, Lisa (James) Mansfield of Tullahoma, Ashleigh (Chad) Beyer of Tullahoma, Alyssa (Steven) Craft of Murfreesboro, William Garry Pinkston of Shelbyville, Jennifer (Tim) Stanley of Lewisburg, Jared Fullerton and Adam Fullerton of Petersburg, Kristen Fullerton of Petersburg, Ashley (Billy) Richards of Belfast along with nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday June 6, 2015 from 5:00 until 8 pm. with funeral services on Sunday June 7, 2015 at 3 pm. at Higgins Funeral Home, Fayetteville, TN. Burial will follow at Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg.
