Junnie E. Fountain Brooks, age 87, died Monday, May 18, 2015. Visitation will be today, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Thursday at noon in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Hollis Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Brooks was a Colbert County native and a former member of Bear Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Brooks; grandson, Barry Myrick; great-grandson, Derek Shane Brooks Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Carley Marie Brooks.
She is survived by her sons, Ernest Brooks (Ann), Harold L. Brooks (Cathy), Rayburn W. Brooks (Barbie), Alton R. Brooks (Angie), Jimmy D. Brooks and Tony L. Brooks; daughters, Kathleen Brooks, Janie Dispigno, Karan H. Bradford (Kim) and Michelle Foster (Michael); 28 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild due to arrive.
Pallbearers will be family.
