FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department made several arrests over the weekend from Drug Possession to Stolen Vehicles to Domestic Violence 2nd. Here are three of that were arrested this weekend:
Brandon E Myrick, 20 of Florence, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Drug Paraphernalia. He is currently confined on a $5000 bond.
James J Byrd, 28 of Florence, was arrested over the weekend and charged with Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd degree, Domestic Violence Strangulation, Domestic Violence Interference with an Emergency Call. He has been released on a $7,000 bond.
Officers observed a stolen vehicle traveling on Veterans Drive Saturday and they attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver refused then attempted to elude them. The vehicle wrecked at West Mobile and Fayette Street. The driver then fled on foot. Wesley L Gibson, 29 of Florence, was located hiding under some brush in the area. Gibson was charged with Theft 1st Degree, DUI, Resisting Arrest, Reckless Driving, and multiple traffic violations. He is currently confined on an $18,000 bond. No one was injured in the incident.
