Glenda Rose Brown, age 73, of Muscle Shoals, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and reunited with her parents; Elmo and Clara Brown and special aunt; Blanche Bendall and special uncle, Albert Bendall, on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Visitation will be Friday, May 15, 2015, 1-3 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ted Vafeas and Bro. Brett Pitman officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Glenda was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and was the founder of Homebound Ministry. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama and a member of ZTA Sorority. Glenda was a realtor in Memphis, TN for thirty years and returned to Muscle Shoals to care for her parents where she continued to own and operate Glenda Brown Realty until her illness in 2010. Friends and family always wanted her decorating help because she had such a gift with it.
Survivors include her sister; Sandra Bush and husband Walt, niece; Cara Bush Davis and husband Steve, nephews; Eric Bush and wife Rebecca, Todd Bush and wife Angelia, great nieces; Tia Davis, Mia Bush and Aabrea Bush.
Pallbearers are Eric Bush, Todd Bush, David Hovater, Mike Flanagan, Alan Gober and Douglas Brown.
The family expresses special thanks to Glenda’s caregivers at Wellington, fourth floor nurses at Helen Keller and special cousins; Kris Flanagan and Cindy Gober.
