Grady Dillard Howard – Obituary

gradyGrady Dillard Howard, 77, died on Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Dec. 9, 1937, in Town Creek, Alabama, he was the son of the late Bertis Howard and the late Ora McGee Howard. He was a 1956 graduate of Colbert County High School in Leighton, Alabama, former employee of Monsanto, and former board member of the Newbern Library.
Family and friends will gather at Mr. Howard’s home on Thursday, May 14, 2015, between the hours of 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. to share memories and celebrate the life of Grady Dillard Howard. The Howard homeplace is located at 210 Biffle Road in Newbern, Tennessee.
He is survived by his twin sons, Lance Howard (Julie), of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Mark Howard (Jess), of Kearneysville, West Virginia; one daughter, Gamble Snyder (Jimmy Dale), of Ridgely, Tennessee; two sisters, Brenda Howard and Gloria Boatwright, both of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; and six grandchildren, Taylor Snyder, Tanner Snyder and Ella Blair Snyder, all of Ridgely, Tennessee, Chance Howard and Cherish Howard, both of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Peyton Howard, of Kearneysville, West Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Patricia “Pat” Copeland Howard.
The family asks that memorials be directed to the City of Newbern Library, 220 East Main Street, Newbern, Tennessee 38059.
