Evelyn Johnson, age 82, died Saturday, May 9, 2015. Her family will receive friends today, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Eddie Wix officiating. Burial will follow in Vandiver Hollow Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Edward Vandiver and
Lizzie Pennington Vandiver, and brothers, Willie Tillman Vandiver and James Archie Vandiver.
She is survived by her sons, David Hubert Johnson and wife, Sherry, and Jonathan R. Johnson; brothers, John E. Vandiver, of Tuscumbia, G. W. Vandiver, of Spruce Pine, and Ray Vandiver, of Tuscumbia, sisters, Lecie Green, of Lake Station, Indiana, and Elizabeth Hester, of Tuscumbia; two grandchildren, Bradley Johnson and wife, Courtney, and Dustin Johnson; and, five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
