Funeral services for Alvin Harlon Smith, 70, will be Wednesday May 13, at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Mr. Aaron Dobson officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Mr. Smith passed away on Monday at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Dianna Smith; daughters, Nancy Ware and Dana Wilson; sons, Jason Smith and Philip Smith; sisters, Linda Wylie and Cindy Prince; brother, Kenneth Smith; and grandchildren, Jacob Wilson, Jonathan Ware, Jackson Woods, Erin Ware, Jalon Smith, Emma Smith, and Anna Smith.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin H. and Elizabeth Smith, and his brother, Danny Smith.
Mr. Smith was a native of Florence, Alabama, but spent the last 30 years in Weaver. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
