Armstead Payne Alsobrook – Obituary

Armstead Payne Alsobrook , 83, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. Mr. Alsobrook graduated from Deshler High School in 1949, and from UNA with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. A veteran of the Korean War, he retired from the US Army Missile Command. He also worked with Whittaker and SAIC. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and enjoyed delivering meals for Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betty Sue Alsobrook; daughter, Leah Alsobrook Hill, both of Huntsville; grandchildren, Bryan Hill of Birmingham, Stephen Hill of Huntsville, and Ashley Hill of Auburn; brother, Allen King Alsobrook of Leighton; and nephews, Mark Alsobrook, Roy Payne Alsobrook, Patrick O’Keefe, and Brad Alsobrook.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Tuscumbia with the Rev. Dallas Culver officiating.
