Mitzi Lee Robertson Sweet passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015. She was 61 years old and a native of Five Points, Tennessee. Sweet’s first career was in respiratory therapy. She graduated law school at age 48, and operated successful practices in Morristown, Tennessee, and then Lawrenceburg. She loved nature, painting, the theater and animals and was a supporter of the Lawrenceburg Animal Shelter, Lawrence County Humane Society, and the Tennessee Animal Rescue and Shelter. Memorial donations may be made to those organizations.
She is survived by her daughter, LaShawn Howell Baxter and husband Joe; beloved pet Hannibal; mother Ann Perry; and sister Cheryl Poss.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 4 p.m. at the Lawrenceburg Golf and Country Club.
