Funeral service for Evelyn Marie Riggs, age 86, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, April 22, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Chitwood officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Pisgah Cemetery at Flint.
Mrs. Riggs, who died Monday, April 20, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born May 24, 1928, in Morgan County, to Charles Willingham and Ella Maze Willingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis Riggs, and son, Charles Lewis Riggs.
She is survived by two sons, James R. Riggs (Sharon) and Greg Allen Riggs, both of Hartselle; two daughters, Sarah Ricketts of Decatur, and Susan Barbrey (Keith) of Simpsonville, SC; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
