Auston Ray Lindsey, age 86, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 18, 2015, from 11 a.m. to noon at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at noon in the chapel. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Brother Steven Butler, Brian Lindsey, and Phillip Jhin. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War, a member of Parkview Baptist Church, and retired from Ford Motor Company as an engineer after many years of loyal service.
Preceding him in death are parents, Bev Norman and Rhoda Ethel Lindsey, wife, Marjorie Kiefer Lindsey, son, Gary Lindsey, brother, William Earl Lindsey, and sisters; Elsie Pounders and Adle Pinkston.
Survivors are wife, Juanita Lindsey; daughter, Karen Lindsey Keehr (Jeffrey); stepdaughter, Patricia Henson (Jerry); stepsons, Johnny Glasgow and Rex Glasgow (Shelia); brothers, Cecil, Thurmon (June), James, Norris, and Billy Lindsey (Mae Drue); grandchildren, Douglas Jude Broderick (Lori), Martin Kenneth Broderick (Kelly), and James Auston Broderick; stepgrandchildren, Kristi Henson, Stuart Henson (Elesa), Kelly Capozzi (Tony), and Courtney Glasgow; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Emily Broderick; stepgreat-grandchildren, Ethan and Ewan Henson and Caleb and Noah Saint; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Broderick, Martin Broderick, James Broderick, Brian Lindsey, Dennis Conner, and Rex Glasgow. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Jhin and David Hubbard.
In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to Alzheimer’s Association of North Alabama, 3222 S. Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, AL 35801.
