Funeral service for Jerry Milton “Chico” Bools, age 76, of Decatur, will be Sunday, April 12, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ed King officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Grove Holy Church of Christ Cemetery.
Mr. Bools, who died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, Parkway Campus, was born April 15, 1938, in Chattanooga, TN, to Ted Bools and Grace Bates Bools. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Bools was employed by Netherton Auto Parts for 32 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Julia Miller Bools of Decatur; two daughters, Teresa Burton (Clyde) and Tammy Shankle, both of Mobile; granddaughter, Lindsey Terry (Adam) of Trinity; two sisters, Alice Blalock and Gail Foote (LaBron), both of Chattanooga, TN; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Brett Netherton, Harvey Netherton, Ronnie Privett, Bruce Netherton, Stevie Netherton, Don Turner, Wayne Thomas, and John Mark Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Netherton Auto Parts, along with friends and customers.
