MADISON COUNTY-Sheriff Blake Dorning advised on Wednesday, April 8th that the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison County Board of Education are partnering together to activate a “Safe 2 Tell” tip line.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison County Board of Education held a news conference today, April 9, 2015 at 10:00a.m., at Madison County High School.
The “Safe 2 Tell” tip line has a phone line that will be monitored by the Madison County
Sheriff’s Office daily. Tips can be called in, sent by text message, or sent by email. The tips that are received in the “Safe 2 Tell” tip line will be sent to the School Resource Officer that is responsible for the school that the tip has been received for.
Tips can be sent to the “Safe 2 Tell” tip line for a variety of reasons that would affect the overall safety of the school and well as reasons that affect an individual student such as Bullying. The number that tips can be text messaged to is 256-536-TELL and the email address for emailed tips is 256TELL@madisoncountyal.gov.
