Operation GrowFLORENCE-Interested in gardening? Want to grow vegetables for yourself, your family or your neighbors, but don’t have the space to do so?

garden opened last year and is located next to the Lauderdale County Extension Office on Veterans Drive.

The purpose of the garden is to promote locally-grown food and self-sustainability in a community-oriented effort. The garden offers 46 raised beds for the public which were made available through a cooperative effort between businesses and agencies in the Shoals that helped with finances and labor.
